Violin Lessons That Build
Musicianship, Confidence,
and Joy
with Rae McGee, M.M.
I started violin at 12 through my public school music program. That experience showed me how much the right teacher can shape a student's musical journey.
My goal is to create lessons that feel encouraging, challenging, and meaningful.

Supportive, Confidence-Building Lessons
"My kids, aged 6 and 3, had a really wonderful experience with violin here. I was impressed with how the lessons were tailored to their abilities, their interests, and also whatever energy and behavior they were bringing with them that day ;) it's also a very approachable entry point to violin, in general. Other Suzuki programs felt a little overwhelming to me in terms of the commitment, especially when I wasn't sure how the kids would take to it. This experience felt relaxed and yet meaningful and supportive of this early learning and exposure."
A Supportive, Student-Centered Approach to Violin
Lessons are designed to meet each student where they are. Drawing on Suzuki teacher training and years of teaching experience, instruction focuses on building musical foundations, confidence, and a lasting connection to music.
-
Suzuki-Informed Pedagogy
Lessons incorporate Suzuki principles of listening, repetition, and gradual skill development to build strong musical foundations.
-
Lessons Tailored to Each Student
Instruction adapts to each student's learning style, visual, auditory, or kinesthetic, so every learner can grow in the way that works best for them.
-
Confidence Through Joyful Learning
A supportive environment helps students develop confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of music.
Beyond the Lesson
Practice Pals
Make Violin Practice Fun and Positive
Practice Pals is our new violin practice app designed to support beginners and early players in building a healthy practice habit. Think of an at-home practice experience where learning exercises, games and learning check-ins meet the positive guidance of a practice buddy. Practice Pals is inspired by a curated collection of learning directions curated by the greats in music + pedagogy like Dr. Suzuki, Pablo Casals, and Carol Dweck to name a few. We are also highly powered by the experiences of our students and parents here at Vibrations Violin studio.
